Pioneer Inno Portable XM Satellite Radio & 1GB MP3 Player Does anybody really listen to the radio any more? I guess this is nice for those of who you like paying for radio. Something like this is always tough to give as a gift unless you pay their XM subscription fees as well. I’m going to just recommend this to those of you who already use XM and can take advantage of it. I’d suggest saving your money and buying a more robust MP3/media player and leave the radio for the car. Buy yourself a real MP3 player if you need something for the road. This is one of those items I have considered buying for some time. The thing that keeps me from doing so is the monthly subscription fee…I don’t want to add on another monthly subscription (Xbox Live, hosting services, Tivo, NetFlix, Verizon…You get the point).
I thought that maybe there would be a lot of talk radio that I would want to listen to, but I have been able to find most of that in PodCast format.
I agree, stick with an MP3 player. I have an iPod and love it. Tom has a Zune and seems happy with it so far.
